Stellite

MAXWOOD Stelit

Stellite application is the latest trend in the treatment of cutting edges on sawmill blades. Stellite is a cobalt-chromium based alloy containing other elements. It is welded directly on the carrier belt in the place of a tooth tip and it forms a compact sawmill blade cutting edge. Compared to standard high speed steel, this sawmill blade is several times more resistant to blunting and therefore does not require frequent replacement or sharpening. The blade is supplied sharp.

Use of stellite sawmill blades brings a number of benefits:

  • can be used for cutting for up to two shifts without changing or sharpening
  • stellite cutting edge creates the cutting channel which eliminates the need for setting of teeth
  • allows higher rate of feed to the cut
  • very fine roughness of the cut surface
  • possibility of cutting mainly tropical wood of the highest hardness

X-Cut

The newly developed sawmill blade, in combination with the implementation of hardened teeth and stellite represents a sawmill blade with outstanding performance at minimum pressure to cut.

X-Cut has following advantages:

  • High cutting performance
  • The surface quality of the cut
  • Ideal for soft and hard wood
  • Excellent price/performance ratio
  • Tooth setting is not necessary
  • Cutting time up to 4 hours.
